VIRTUAL ACCOUNTANT
The Virtual Accountant plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of financial transactions while supporting overall client business growth.
This role is designed for individuals with strong accounting expertise who can handle various financial tasks, from bookkeeping and reconciliations to accounts management and financial reporting. Working in a remote environment, the Virtual Accountant ensures that the client’s financial processes run smoothly, allowing businesses to focus on their core operations.
· Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices along with payment processing.
· Researching and resolving a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning vendor account status.
· Vendor management: including new vendor setup and regular vendor maintenance.
· Timely application of client payments into BQE.
· Providing and verifying banking instructions to external clients.
· Assisting in the collection of past due balances along with processing billing adjustments and changes.
· Processing billable charges along with the timely delivery of client invoices.
· Completing monthly bank reconciliations along with preparing weekly cash analysis reports.
· Responsible for properly recording all cash transactions.
· Accountable for the completion of payroll and 401k reconciliations.
· Analyzing and monitoring intercompany transactions and activity.
· Assisting in project management-related tasks; creating new projects and modifying phases along with maintaining a listing of all current and active projects.
Technical Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
· 1-2 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience.
· BQE Software experience is a plus.
· Strong Excel skill is a MUST
