Medical Virtual Assistant (Behavioral Sciences)

A medical virtual assistant works closely with medical professionals to ensure that the best interests of the healthcare provider, patient, and medical establishment are met.

  • Reaching out to clients and mental health professionals via phone calls, emails, and video meetings regarding treatment and intervention reports
  • Maintaining clinical records such as treatment plans, progress notes, and termination summaries according to APA (American Psychological Association) standards
  • Documenting all services, attending treatment team meetings and working closely with staff to enhance patient outcomes and providing supportive care
  • In charge of health promotion, explaining care plans, admissions, new patient intake, and front-desk triage
  • Establishing a professional relationship with medical professionals and patients; Acts as a primary liaison between patients and providers
  • Strict adherence and compliance with the HIPAA policy
  • Highly proficient in the English Language (Both written and oral)
  • Demonstrates excellent time management, strong attention to detail, accuracy, impartiality, organization, and computer competences
  • A professional license in the field of Psychology is highly preferred (Registered Guidance Counselors, Registered Psychometricians, Registered Psychologists)
  • At least 2 years of experience in the psychological field
  • Intermediate skills with G-suite and/or Microsoft Office

PRIMARY

  •  Computer Operating System: at least Windows 7
  •  Headset: Any USB type headset with a noise-canceling feature

  • Computer Processor: Core i3 – 3rd gen or later (2013 or later)
  • Computer Memory/RAM: at least 4.00 GB

Primary Connection: A stable primary wired Internet subscription with a minimum download/upload speed of 8mbps (10mbps and up preferred)

Back-up Connection: A stable secondary connection with a minimum speed of 5mbps
